Rush Poker Introduced at Full Tilt
January 20, 2010
The major online poker room Full Tilt Poker have recently launched a whole new concept when it comes to playing poker online. This concept is called Rush Poker and it’s a dream come true for all of you action junkies out there who can’t stand to wait for the action to get to you.
The idea behind Rush Poker is to offer as much action to the players as possible and not make them wait for a new hand all the time. The players sitting at a Rush Poker table are part of a player pool and your placement at the table is randomly selected. Every time you fold a hand you will be taken directly to a new table where it is your turn to act again. By doing this the waiting time between hands played is completely eliminated. You are basically always in the action when playing Rush Poker.
So far the response from the players that have been playing Rush Poker has been very positive and some say it’s even a bit addictive due to the massive action at the tables.
If you do not yet have an account at FullTilt but would like to see what this Rush Poker hype is all about then we suggest you enter the Full Tilt Poker referral code PRULESNET when creating your account. This poker bonus code will give you up to $600 for free when making your first deposit.
Wisconsin gambling problems
January 16, 2010
Gambling problems reached a high in Wisconsin last year, according to the statistics. In fact a record 14,604 calls were received by the Problem Gambling Helpline, operated by the Green Bay-based Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling.
The support group stated that this was an increase of 12.8 percent from the previous year – 2008, and also amounting to the second year in a row that the council reported a record number of calls.
Executive Director Rose Gruber stated that she does not thing the record will drop through 2010. She commented; “The economy is likely one factor affecting the increase in calls. Accessibility to gaming may be another factor, along with increased awareness of problem and compulsive gambling and the services that are available. We typically see a spike in calls this time of year. Credit card bills are arriving, there’s been the temptation of the college bowl games, and the Super Bowl is just ahead.”

At the moment, Gilbert Arena is saying that he took the guns with him to the team’s locker room only because he has a new born baby at home and wanted to safeguard him.

Boss Media Poker Rooms Fined for having winning players
December 10, 2009
The online poker room PokerDucks.com had to close down their operation due to the fact that they brought too many winning players to the Boss Media Network. According to new rules at the popular poker network you will now be fined if you are bringing in a high percentage of winning players to the network. It’s very likely that more poker sites on the network will get similar fines unless they start getting rid of their winning players. It has even reached the stage where some online poker rooms are closing the accounts of winning players due to the huge they are facing if they keep them as a customer.
Even though a lot of people seem to think that these fines are just a way of getting more money to the network operator that is not really the case. The fines that are collected from poker rooms referring mostly winning players will be distributed to the other rooms on the network that are referring a lot of fish (bad players) to the poker tables.
The reason why Boss Media has chosen operate this way is that they are looking for their skins to actively looking for hobby players instead of referring sharks that will take all the money from the limit number of fish at the tables.
It doesn’t take a genius to see that they are really doing this to stop the operators that refer players only by offering them under the table rakeback deals and are not contributing to the network with any new fishy players. The real winners from this new set of rules are going to be the online poker rooms that are mainly a sportsbook as these usually tend to refer a lot of fish to the virtual felt.
