Absolute Poker Reload Bonuses

December 31, 2009

absolutepokerbonusAbsolute Poker is one of the greatest player-retaining sites of all time. I can’t think of any other poker site that works as hard to keep players coming back for more. For players serious about building their bankrolls, the constant poker reload bonuses at Absolute Poker are perfect. These reload bonuses allow all players a chance to get even more deposit bonuses than just the first one.

The Absolute Poker website states that you can expect to see a reload bonus 6 or 7 times every month. The size of those bonuses ranges from 15% to 100% and maxes out at $500. The sheer quantity of bonuses is more than enough to keep plenty of money coming in every month – and that’s in addition to your regular winnings.

How to Get Your Bonuses

Absolute Poker announces each reload bonus within the poker lobby and by e-mail. You can get signed up for notification by visiting the website and creating an account. When you do so, remember to sign up with the Absolute Poker referral code PBS500. That bonus code will get you an extra 150% on your first deposit there.

After you have an account with Absolute Poker, you’ll automatically be sent updates on the latest reload bonuses. You can check manually by downloading the software and opening the poker lobby any time. You’ll also be sent e-mails whenever Absolute Poker extends another reload bonus.

Your e-mail alerts will also include the special bonus codes you need to type in to receive your reload bonus. When you make your deposits, you’ll see a space that asks for your bonus code. Just type in the code you received in your e-mail and you’ll get your bonus.

Note – the very first time you deposit at Absolute Poker, you’ll be asked to type in your bonus code. Just use the referral code PBS500 here as well. For all new players, the referral code and bonus code are the same.

Clearing Absolute Poker Reload Bonuses

Reload bonuses at Absolute Poker are cleared in the same manner as the first time deposit bonus. For every bonus dollar you receive, you’ll have to earn 20 Status Points by playing in real money poker games. Every time you earn enough Status Points to clear $10 worth of bonus money, that money is moved from your bonus account to your real money account.

As you move up in levels in the Absolute Poker FAME Club, it will actually get easier for you to clear your bonuses. There are 5 levels in the FAME Club and they require the following number of Status Points per bonus dollar:

Level Status and Points per Dollar
Bronze 20
Silver 20
Gold 20
Platinum VIP 18
Diamond Elite 17

Absolute Poker $500K+ Weekends

December 29, 2009

absolutepokerbonusAbsolute Poker is one of the biggest poker sites but they have always lagged a little behind Full Tilt and PokerStars in terms of tournament volume. In recent months, Absolute Poker has worked to correct that by adding new tournaments, bringing in more players and guaranteeing more prize money.

With those goals in mind, Absolute Poker recently doubled the amount of guaranteed tournament money it gives away each weekend. Instead of guaranteeing a total of $200,000 in tournaments, Absolute Poker is now giving away more than $500,000 in guaranteed prize money every weekend.

That’s not total prize money; that’s just money that Absolute Poker promises will be there. If any guaranteed tournament falls short of its guarantee, Absolute Poker makes up for it by donating money directly to the prize pool. This means that no matter how many people show up, you’ll always know the prize pool will at least meet the guaranteed amount.

There are a few smaller tournaments that bring the total to more than $500,000 every weekend but the ones listed below are the biggest. You can find out more by visiting Absolute Poker and downloading the software. Remember to use the Absolute Poker referral code PBS500 when you sign up so you can claim your 150% sign up bonus.

$200,000 Guaranteed Sunday

This tournament is held every Sunday at 4:00 PM ET. You can buy in directly for $215 or win your way in for as little as a couple dollars. You will start out with 3,000 chips in this tournament and win a $215 bounty if you knock out any of the Absolute Team Pros.

$100,000 Guaranteed Sunday

The $100K is held every Sunday at 2:00 PM ET. You can play in both tournaments if you want but be aware that if you do well in both, you’ll end p playing in both at the same time. The buyin for the $100K is $530 but there are plenty of satellites for which you can win seats for free. You will begin with 3,000 chips in this tournament as well.

$50,000 Guaranteed Saturday

Don’t let the smaller prize pool throw you off; a strong finish in this tournament will net you a fat wad of cash. On top of that, you can use this tournament to prep up for the big money Sundays at Absolute Poker. The tournament costs $320 and everyone begins with 5,000 chips. You can join in the action every Saturday at 2:55 PM ET.

Sniper $40,000 Guaranteed

The Sniper $40K costs $130 and takes place every Sunday at 9:00 PM ET. There is a $10 bounty on each player’s head, which means you’ll win $10 for every player you knock out. You can buy in directly or play in a variety of satellites to win your way in at a fraction of the cost.

Sniper $25,000 Guaranteed

The Sniper $25K costs $130 and is hosted every Saturday at 9:00 PM ET. $10.00 out of every buyin goes to the bounty. Every time you knock someone out, you collect $10.00 as their bounty.

Full Tilt Poker rakeback offer

December 23, 2009

fulltiltpokerlogoIf you are not currently a Full Tilt Poker customer now is the time to join! The popular online poker site is now offering new players an astonishing 27% rakeback deal! Rakeback, normally reserved for smaller sites, is the most lucrative promotion in online poker, so now is the time to sign-up and start playing at the second most heavily trafficked online poker site, and receive an awesome rakeback deal to boot!

For those of you who are unaware of what rakeback is, and how a poker rakeback deal works, here is a brief explanation: Rakeback is a deal between yourself and a poker affiliate – if you sign-up directly through the Full Tilt Poker website you WILL NOT receive a rakeback deal—where they offer to refund a percentage of the rake you pay back to you! In this case, you would be refunded 27% of the rake you have paid.

The typical rake at an online poker site is 5% of the total pot, up to $3. So if the pot is $10, the rake is $.50: If the pot is $60 the rake is $3: If the pot is $400 the rake is $3. To determine the amount of rake you have personally paid, simply take the total rake and divide this by the number of players that were dealt into the hand; this is your contribution –This running total of your rakeback is known as Monthly Gross Rake (MGR).

For example: If you are in a 10-handed game and the rake is $3, your MGR would be $.30 ($3 / 10 players = $.30 MGR). Your next step is to multiply your MGR by your rakeback percentage: giving you a total of $.08 in rakeback ($.30 * .27 = $.081).

Ok, I realize this doesn’t seem like a whole heck of a lot of money, but believe me, these small amounts add up quickly. In a typical online poker session it’s not uncommon to play 1,000 hands of poker: At $.081 a hand this adds up to $81! Playing four tables at a time, online poker players can easily hit 1,000 hands in a 2-hour session, which means you can make $40/hour in rakeback alone!

So now that you know how rakeback works –and how profitable it can be—you will obviously want to take advantage of the 27% Full Tilt rakeback deal at Full Tilt Poker.

One last bit of good news, when you sign-up at Full Tilt Poker you will also be eligible for the 100% up to $600 deposit bonus offered by the site! That’s right, rakeback and a deposit bonus!!! And don’t forget to check out our rake-races and freeroll tournaments exclusively for rakebackftw.com players!

Boss Media Poker Rooms Fined for having winning players

December 10, 2009

pokerducksThe online poker room PokerDucks.com had to close down their operation due to the fact that they brought too many winning players to the Boss Media Network. According to new rules at the popular poker network you will now be fined if you are bringing in a high percentage of winning players to the network. It’s very likely that more poker sites on the network will get similar fines unless they start getting rid of their winning players. It has even reached the stage where some online poker rooms are closing the accounts of winning players due to the huge they are facing if they keep them as a customer.

Even though a lot of people seem to think that these fines are just a way of getting more money to the network operator that is not really the case. The fines that are collected from poker rooms referring mostly winning players will be distributed to the other rooms on the network that are referring a lot of fish (bad players) to the poker tables.

The reason why Boss Media has chosen operate this way is that they are looking for their skins to actively looking for hobby players instead of referring sharks that will take all the money from the limit number of fish at the tables.

It doesn’t take a genius to see that they are really doing this to stop the operators that refer players only by offering them under the table rakeback deals and are not contributing to the network with any new fishy players. The real winners from this new set of rules are going to be the online poker rooms that are mainly a sportsbook as these usually tend to refer a lot of fish to the virtual felt.

Joe Cada Wants Legal Online Poker

December 9, 2009

joecadaJoe Cada won the World Series of Poker Main Event this year and has been taking on the role as an ambassador for poker. It seems he is really taking this new role seriously and is putting a lot of work and effort in to making poker accepted in the US.

In the States there are always a lot of discussions about gambling on the internet and if it should be regulated or not. Should online gambling become regulated it will have a huge impact on online poker as well. Joe Cada is one of the people who are currently fighting for poker on the internet to be legalized.

Recently he went in front of congress and talked about why online poker should be legal.

In an interview with Time Magazine Joe Cada had the following to say:

I support the right to play online poker. Poker is not gambling. It is a hobby, an activity and a game. Poker is not about luck, it’s about logic, decision making and math.

Play against Daniel Negreanu on Tuesdays at PokerStars

December 9, 2009

pokerstars-logoOnline poker giant PokerStars are trying to create the same friendly games as you have in your home games by starting something called Team Pro Tuesdays. During the Team Pro Tuesdays at PokerStars.com you will get a chance to play against some of the Team PokerStars Pro’s at the different games and levels.

With this new concept at PokerStars you will now be able to really test your skills against some of the best poker players in the world. If you feel you are not quite ready to start taking on full blooded poker pro’s then you can still sit and watch the games being played and chat with the pro’s at the tables.

During the month of December PokerStars will be running two “Outlast the pro” events where you get to play in a tournament against these poker pro’s for as little as $11. In these tournaments PokerStars are adding $1000 to the prize pool and those players who manage to outlast the pro in the tournament gets to share those $1000.

It gives the tournament an interesting twist. If you have a big stack you will be hoping that the poker pro’s stay in the tournament while you are just waiting for them to bust out if you are short stacked, said Daniel Negreanu about these new tournaments.

Right now PokerStars are offering a 100% bonus up to $600 for players who sign up using the PokerStars marketing code PSP11903.
